Sample Answer

The column graph presents the results of a survey conducted among young people in four European countries-Portugal, Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands-regarding their views on the most effective solutions to global warming.

Overall, lifestyle changes were the most favoured solution among the youth in all countries surveyed.

In Portugal, a significant 50% of young respondents identified lifestyle changes as the best way to combat global warming. This was followed by 20% favouring government regulations and 17% supporting environmental issues. Similarly, a majority of Spanish youth also favoured lifestyle changes, although at a lower percentage than their Portuguese counterparts. In Spain, 20% chose government regulations as a solution, while 17% opted for environmental issues.

The trends among Italian and Dutch youths mirrored those of Spain and Portugal, with slight percentage variations. Notably, only a small fraction of the youth in all countries believed that none of these measures would be effective in addressing global warming.
